Boss Mick McCarthy will be forced into one change for Saturday’s game at Blackburn with keeper Scott Loach out with a sprained finger. On-loan West Ham man Stephen Henderson will come back into the side, while winger Lee Martin again looks set to miss out. |

A hat-trick from striker Jake Sinclair saw Southampton’s U18s to a 4-1 victory over their Blues counterparts at Playford Road this afternoon. Schoolboy right-back Kyle Hammond netted Town’s only goal as the Blues' two-game winning run came to an end. |
Town 3-0 Sheffield United Sat 05th Feb 2011 17:40
Goals from Damien Delaney, David Norris and a stunning third from Connor Wickham saw the Blues to a 3-0 victory over nine-man Sheffield United. Delaney put Town in front with a header in a very poor first half with Norris adding the second after the break. Grant Leadbitter missed a penalty before Wickham brilliantly ran from his own half to seal the win, prior to Robert Kozluk and Lee Williamson receiving red cards within a minute during the closing stages. |
Reserves Lose at Colchester Wed 15th Sep 2010 20:54
Luciano Civelli and Damien Delaney continued their comebacks as Town’s reserves lost 3-1 to Colchester at Maldon and Tiptree’s Park Drive. The U’s fielded a more experienced line-up and deserved their victory with Lloyd James, Matt Heath and Kayode Odejayi on target, with Town replying via a Ben Coker own goal. |

New academy recruit Elliot Scotcher has been named in the Wales U17 squad for a friendly tournament in Sweden later this month. Scotcher, who was formerly with Cardiff City, starts his two-year scholarship with the Blues later this month. |

Town boss Roy Keane could be without loan striker Daryl Murphy when Sheffield United come to Portman Road for the final game of the season on Sunday (KO 1pm). Murphy, whose spell comes to an end after Sunday's game, has a thigh strain with Keane unlikely to take a chance on the Sunderland man if he is in any doubt regarding his fitness. |
